I'd say so. 1/2 Genie Hero was Kickstarted with great success and Pirate's Curse is perhaps the more well known Shantae games (since the first GBC game is literally impossible to find, best bet is through emulation and people are not gonna go through all that effort just to play the first Shantae game, well I did when I was younger) and also has many different factors in its favor (multiple platform releases, the OST being really good and composed by a well known and recieved composer, etc.)
Since a large part of Shantae's waifufagging is from the internet, I think a online cartoon could work or even perhaps via Netflix since cartoons managed to find success there. Even Castlevania did fairly well, and it's been a fairly dormant IP in recent years due to Konami's fuckups.
