I'm still a very shitty artist, but I'm bored enough at work to attempt contributing. Right now, I'm still at the 'copy another artist and swap faces to learn anatomy, design, linework, and expressions' stage. I've also got a couple /trash/ material OCs, but I won't subject you to that autism.

This is Ruby! On the right. She's a witch's familiar who fell in love with her master, but he's some kinda normal person who doesn't want to fuck his cat. Her choker and lip are both red, and that's supposed to be a handcuff key hanging from her choker. She has gray fur, which she's very self conscious about since she thinks a good witch's cat should be black, and even white would have the whole opposite thing going. She's has the kind of personality where she would own a fainting couch, use it for dramatic effect, but keep one eye open to make sure people are reacting appropriately. Her best friends, aside from Master, are her master's pet vampire bat, Bela, and a house spider.

Alright then. Here's a boy name Lucifer. He's an orphan who, through a series of horrific/dreadful events, was resurrected as a living vessel for otherworldly entities (known as dregs) to enter from the netherworld (known as the Void) into the living world (specifically through the spikes jutting out of his back). Dregs range from the forlorn souls of the deceased to the primordial spirits that act as the building blocks of life in this particular universe. They're actually quite protective towards Lucifer, such as covering him like body armor, or attacking his foes as an extension of himself. One thing they share in common: They're all incredibly miserable.

Just an addition to the character: I like to portray Lucifer's powers as two separate (yet similar) motifs. Such as in the first image, I refer that one as the "Coiled Orphan", wherein he takes on a somber yet condensing demeanor. And with this image here, this one I refer to as the "Fraught Child", where he takes a more frenzied and deranged demeanor. The Coiled Orphan is more calculative and cold, whereas the Fraught Child is ferocious and erratic.

i was thinking of a series where modern horrors would be made into a bunch of tv-friendly preteens living in the deep south

in this world, the supernatural WAS actually a thing, a big thing, in fact, up until a certain point of history (varying by place). it's not like magic and stuff just stopped existing, it just declined until it was invisible to most of the society by the renaissance in europe and the early qing dynasty in china, and practically non-existent by napoleon in europe, and the opium wars in china

then, some time during the victorian era, it started reappearing in scant areas of the world, but was still barely at all noticeable, and so, not really an issue

that is, until the early 2010s, during which, there came an inexplicable renaissance of the supernatural

that's where the show comes in

seemingly normal kids in a supposedly normal town in backwater north carolina that has its lurid past have it turn into the epicenter of the supernatural revival in the appalachians

the kids themselves are supposed to be the big boogeymen of the mid-20th to 21st century - i mean, there's a kids show about a goddamn pirate and his pirate friends, and they're not raping and pillaging anyone. yet. i thought, why not be super-edgy and have the unabomber, cult leaders, jihadis, and a hodgepodge of creepypasta cliches all manifest in kid form, not actually being these things, but parodies of certain aspects?

Well, you could say this is an OC. I made it some time ago.
There's not much to say actually, i just came up with the idea and drew it.
Let's say she's some kind of punk monster girl. She looks like she has a normal mouth. But is able to open her mouth even more, revealing her sharped shark-like teeth.
I actually have tons of OC's from a comic idea i had years ago, but it never became a thing. Although, i still draw those characters when i'm in the mood.

Okay, here's a secondary character I've thought of for a /co/ related story I'm planning.

Her name is Matilda, or Tilly for short.She's a zombie peasant older who's about ten years old physically and mentally, but a few years older than that chronologically.

She has decaying green skin, somewhat crooked and discoloured teeth, filthy brown hair that reaches past her waist, and blank white eyes. She wears a tattered brown dress and a floppy brown hat, both rather patchy. She sometimes carries a rusty pitchfork that she uses for garden work.

She was the only survivor (for lack of a better word) of a plague that devastated her town, which presumably also infected her into an undead zombie. She's friendly and amicable, always willing to do hard work even if she has a tendency to fall apart a bit

The simplest way is to just... Draw. Just start. It'll look like shit at first, you'll hate it, you'll want to die, you'll wanna quit, but you have to start somewhere.

You can also look up beginner tutorials online. A good free resource is Ctrl+Paint. It's mostly for digital stuff, but it does have a section on traditional drawing to get you started in the meantime. Give it a look.

Basically when she died her spirit lay dormant within her corpse, not moving on (the stress that caused this is its own mini story)
A pumpkin patch was planted over her grave, and over time a root burrowed its way into her body. being something alive coming into contact with the spirirt, it sorta.. jumped ship over to the pumpkin, but still dormant. and after being plucked, carved and finally a candle inside lit, the spirit woke up. she grew a bit of a planty body, and grabbed some branches with her planty tendrils to make the limbs you see.

children of the corn was heartland stuff, i was going for a more middle-of-the-woods, appalachian, illegal medication, honey booboo, white trash feel

and i know it's not much of a concept, just a mishmash of random ideas i like having fun with

the only thing i've got down is this mostly antagonistic relationship between a couple of loser kids nobody likes

one's this stick-thin kid with a poor grip on reality, an unbelievably stereotypical background (3 brothers and 1 sister and an uncle who died eating possum), and a homeschool education from his parents who're probably in some kind of new age jesus cult. he lives on the fringes of society, his preferred greeting is a chesire grin, kinda predatory looking, straight up hills-have-eyes creepy if u dont know the guy. he's fast as a hare, good with a big stick, ty-lee agile, and has a bad habit of using the above to sneak up on the local populace and give em a lil spook

the other's the local immigrant kid - an iraqi ex-refugee officially born in america, actually born in russia, raised in the area, and living with his creepily religious mother they pretend doesn't exist, embarrassing surrogate-father uncle, and his christopher hitchens worshiping aunt who hates all their guts - except the kid, he's her pet project. kind of pretentious about stuff he likes - he's an utter weab, but it isnt TOO obvious - he doesnt, like, cosplay or anything, but CONSTANTLY corrects people, "it's not japanese, it's nihongo", and has a waifu poster, he's a dweeb. he loathes public gatherings, and is in turn hated by everyone. he's a shortstack, but kinda malnourished looking, can lift a little more than it seems, and only smiles to mock

i'm not planning on doing anything at all to everything, anyway - or anything for that matter

i have no artistic ability related to /co/ material, so ... yeah

but cartoons have always been a fun thing for me. i've never really grown out of them, and i don't think i ever will

Ah, well. I was gunna say you could use that first picture I posted if you wanted to edit it for yourself but if you don't draw nor are going to do anything with your story, guess that's moot.

It's always fun to mishmash ideas but I'm a little tired of not going any further than that so I'm trying to get some actual pages done despite I don't really know what tone I am going for anymore. Silent Hill-ish hellscape or hillbilly adventures. Probably both, but I'm not looking to be too edgy or angsty about it. Kind of like Unsupervised level of poor hillbillies having fun with what they have.

Starts with pic related coming home from juvie/reform school after the girl on the left of the first picture disappeared in the copper mines in their town. Alli was with her at the time and got attacked by some creature that marked Alli for possession after a scuffle, but she got away and Harley was grabbed instead. Alli had a knife on her at the time(her and her dad build zipguns, whittling and forge shitty weapons and blow shit up for fun) and believed Alli was at fault for Harley's supposed murder/disappearance.

Getting marked for possession is kind of like a one sided 'deal' and it could not fully integrate into Harley since once someone is marked, it has to happen or the marker will eventually whither away without the new body(while the marked will be fine). The creature also cannot mark someone new without fullfilling it's first mark.
Once Alli starts settling back home freaky shit starts happening and she starts seeing things that are there, just no one else can see, hear or feel them(aside from her dad, which is later revealed he was so used to speed hallucinations he just thought he was really high).

She eventually goes back down into the mines and the creature inhabits her but over the years the tie between them had withered so it's the creature that becomes a prisoner in Alli's body because she thinks it's fucking awesome to get to rampage around as a giant monster. I haven't really decided whether or not Alli is straight up villain or not since she isn't the nicest of people but I don't want to make her too much of an unlikable cunt.

Her scars are also superficial aside from her neck(which she gets when 2 of Harley's 9 brothers finds out she's back and her transformation to and from a monster has a healing factor during it). Her split lip and missing tooth are from accidentally punching herself in the face when she sneezed once.

I did this a littlle while ago and I'm currently expanding the idea. These are four "B Grade" Succubus characters, all of them with punny names.

The idea came with the thought "What if a demonologist attempts to summon a succubus, but pronounces the name wrong?"

The four character on the pic are, from left to right, Driver (as in "Succu-Bus Driver"; she literally drives a bus), Succulent (the chubby one; she loves to eat), Succubee (also known as SuccuBuzz, the cutest demonic bee you'll ever meet), and Suckstobe ("Sucks-To-Be", because "Sucks To Be You", she's the nerdies, flattest, thinnest Succubus in the Nether Reigns).

As I said, I'm currently expanding their universe, focusing more on Suckstobe.
