I do somewhat get what you're saying, but this wastes more space than a proper reveal. there's no reason to see hank jumping forward now if we're going to see it open the next issue. And if we don't there's no continuity in the scene. Which will likely waste more space.

It's super obvious Editorial is doing the same thing to the X-Books as they did to Fantastic Four before it was cancelled.

All the stories have be made as "Unfilmable" as possible. That means no new characters, a focus on plot points which don't work on screen (i.e. Magic, Demons, Time Travel, Alt. Universe characters, etc.)

They know Fox won't make a movie about the Original X-Men being time-displaced and teaming up with Wolverine's son from an alternative reality to fight Scott Summer's ex-wife turned Demon Sorcerer.

Essentially you get all the worst parts of the X-Men franchise thrown into one big slop.

Not really, man. After those two time skips, it's fair to say at least Scott, Jean and Beast are all 18 or something. It's been almost two years in the Marvel U since the O5 were brought to present day. Probably two whole years if there was any time passing during Secret Empire.

They're dropping way too many dialog cues!
And it's painfully obvious from the previous issues' foreshadowings that this all ends with Hank learning his lesson and finally swearing off black magic!

Also confirmed: it's actually Babyclops hooked up to Jeanie and the Rightclops personality that Emma tried to install didn't overwrite him, THAT would have been too convoluted. Not that they would have been able to string along that storyline for long with a psi-link to Jean.
And next issue we see Danger and Bobby pulling surprise second wind attacks, Hank having a psychic soul confrontation, and Maddie learning just who the fuck it is she's messing with. (not literally)
