The fact that he mentions it after saying that he can tell Petrichor is trans makes it very ambigous imo.

Dude it was the cliche 'sing to a person as they died' thing.

Still doesn't make me like her as a character or at all.

It's clear to me that BKV has no idea of how to write robot as anything but a morally grey asshole because the instant he's supposed to have an opinion that isn't "oh look at them dumb non robots" he goes off the rails. How does being stranded on a planet as a wanted fugitive with a son who knows where lead to having sex with an almost complete stranger? Specially when he's supposed to have erectile disfunction or whatever.

Because they have to make Pertiwhore and Robot relevant to the story somehow. It's not enough that they served their purpose and can leave the story. No they have to stick around for god knows how long.
