I agree, everything that Superman should be doing right is done by All Might. He should always know how important it is to be the symbol he is and to uplift the people he inspires and never give them an easy out until there are no more options. He should appreciate the gamut of people from the least to the greatest. He should also be able to fuck up every now and then without going full-on Justice Lord/Injustice.

Yeah, All Might is basically Golden Age Superman. Modern Superman is is written by adults trying to appeal to other adults, so they rather focus on trying to deconstruct Superman or have him dealing with existential crisis of being a hero/God/whatever instead of writing him as a hero that would appeal to kids/teens.

You've obviouslty never read Superman comics my man. Golden Age Superman beaten and threatened politicians and gangsters. Silver Age Superman went to extreme lengths to pull pranks on his friends and keep secrets from them, and would get pettily jealous of anything that tried to take his place (even his own creations!). Bronze Age Superman was pretty emotional and sad and marked by the ability to fail--for example when the Kents died.
