I really hope Lucky Felicia lives through this encounter for no other reason than just that everyone called she would be sacrificied from the first fucking panel she was introduced in.

Theres like no real stakes because everyone fully expected her to die from the beginning, so its just 4 pages of trying to explain to us why she needs to die. Just fucking do it or dont already.

Actually, by announcing that they will kill the girl last page, it actually improves her survival chances.
Basically, if you want a plan to happen you don't spell it out. If you DO spell it out, then it would be narratively boring if it then just happens. Now that we know she is suppose to die, it now is a question of how to change the outcome. She can still die, but it would be via a different way.

So I've re-read the comic and I have to say that while I enjoyed it in retrospect Alison spends like 90% of the plot being jerked around and has very little agency throughout.

So far the only victory she's really done on her own is outdrink a devil and that was forever ago. Since then she's just been a mcguffin passed around from hand to hand

I really hope that this doesn't last much longer because it's starting to get kind of obnoxious especially in this current arc

If that's the case I hope the red devil is the one who goes, he's the one with least personality and purpose. Cat Master will be indispensable going forward, 1-11 must pull some cool tricks before he dies, and Charon will inevitably be killed by Mammon just to prove how small a fry he really is. And I could definitely see them needing a supernaturally skilled painter going ahead, for camouflage or distraction, but they won't need a Face. (huehuehue)
