I generally don't like how he draws the trunk of the body and it looks worse on Dick who is mostly (though not always of course) sleeker rather than bulky.

I think a Birds of Prey would be a big step up for them. His stuff with Witchblade means he can do constructs really well but I would rather have him to monsters than green lantern stuff. Maybe an Etrigan book?

He has a very sameface/samebody style that makes recognizable characters look weird. Best suited to his own stuff rather than corporate books. His Aquaman is starting to get sloppy too so it doesn't seem like he can keep to the schedule.

SO many artists have 'same face' that if you read cape comics you have to get used to it cause so many do it, you have to overlook it a bit.

I get that complaint, however his ability to do expressions makes me overlook it completely. Very few artists are as emotive as him. Even in his old style doing Witchblade and Ravine, the expressions on the people were constantly changing to fit the dialogue very well.

The arguement loses more weight when you look at 'simplified' art that steps away from realism and into more iconography or cartooned characters. Say charlie brown, they all have the same body and shape and the only thing that differentiates them in hair and clothes. I really don't think sameface is as big a problem in cartooning as people on /co/ make it up to be, but that's maybe because I've gotten so used to it from people like Bruce Timm

I think you missed my point. It's not that sameface is inherently bad, it's just that his particular brand of it looks too distinct to work on every character.

Like Amanda Conner is another one I can't stand on most characters because it's too recognizable. Her Starfire covers looked fucking terrible to me because they didn't look like Starfire to me even though I generally like her art.
