Then again Anime is alot like Comic books, at least in regards to the doomed floppy format business model. It's an industry which tailors its product to an incestuously narrow bandwith of consumers who by their homogenized taste allow for very little if any variety to succeed and only want the exact same thing over and over. And Japan being full of a bunch of millennial NEETs who only want self-indulgent and comfy fantasy fuel it's no surprise that cute girls doing cute things and [insert yourself] harem anime are par for the course. This is perpetuated by the fact that Anime make virtually all of their money off of overpriced physical format sales so only those willing to shell out serious dough for single episode blu-rays will determine what shows succeed or not, much like how only those willing to shell out four bucks for a floppy comic book determine what succeeds in the comic industry.

Netflix is a great service but most of their original content is utter crap and their licensed library is mostly crap too. one of the things I like the most about magiswords is how flexible the characters are even though it's a "flash" cartoon. in other shows like loud house the characters are very static and don't "move" often, Lucy Loud is an example of this.
another thing to praise is how these character stay on model even when making these exaggerated faces and moving widly, it's got steven universe and OK K.O beat in that department.
