People bitch about legacies but I really wish 'Batgirl' had a successful legacy transition. Steph or Cass or even fucking Harper Row would let Babs actually be an adult, highly competent woman with serious influence again.

Seriously, how many actually cool disabled characters are there? Not just in comics, but fiction in general?

Another reason Babs was disgustingly underappreciated is because in comics, nobody respects real power. Lasers and super strength are neat and all, but resources, infrastructure, influence... that's real power, the power to make things happen because you will it, because people want to follow your commands.

As Oracle, Barbara had that. As Batgirl, she has little more than a costume.

It's spoiled teen friendly of any sex. And Tarr clearly got sick of doing it - she did like 10 pages of the last 4 issues she was schedulled to do. You can really tell, too - her choreography, never her best talent, went completely downhill once she didn't have Stewart on layouts. And her faces got really Erica Henderson sometimes, as opposed to the sexy faces she started out making like a boss.
