I followed him for a while even got to play smash with him once, never really came off as an asshole as far as I know. You missed a good shitstorm. The retarded game journalists overstepped their ideological bounds and redpilled a bunch of gamers prompting major backlash on journalists and the media. All because some landwhale decided to cheat on her boyfriend and he ended up writing about it in a blog post. All you'll hear about is muhsoggynees because the news media are inept at their jobs and are firmly rooted ideological confirmation bias.

I have no idea what Hesse did but a lot of people said and did stupid things during it.

Yeah, I figured at worst he just made some throwaway comment. Thank Christ Hesse didn't do anything too bad. No fucking idea what /v/ was talking about then, but I shouldn't be surprised. /v/ loves to gossip. the only thing i can think of that might tie Hesse to being an asshole was that boxerhockey was hosted on fireball20xl. where the owner (superpsyguy) of it was outed as a pedophile and went full damage control and deleted everything he owned that could be used against him. And that's mostly because the people that were associated with that group were mostly assholes themselves and all took a bite out of psyguy for their toxic 15 minutes of fame. So everyone from kirbopher to littlekuriboh were targeted as people who "molested" younger fans. Tyson Hesse said nothing on the subject probably due to the fact that's he's a good person and wasn't going to take the opportunity to try and get pity points for "his abuse from psy".
