The first one also got a bunch of good ones. Too bad 3 aren't enough to make the movies actually good, but there were glimpses.

I liked the line about God throwing a stone. But the issue is the rest of the scene was "muh wacky quippy badguy."

It's not even like Whedon isn't talented, considering I legit think Angel is underrated. I also do like the first Avengers despite some weak moments. He can write some good lines and is solid at plotting out stories. The issue is that he is so caught up in his own bullshit and refuses to change what he knows is either repetitive or weak.
