He was pretty good in the '90s. Stood out due to really good detective skills (better than Dick) and relatively introvert personality. I think he fit the role nicely. Whereas classic Dick Robin was just goofy and childish (didn't become a great character until the Nightwing turn), Tim Robin was respectable throughout.
