Of course money makes you happy. But all it can do is give you basic pleasure and remove common obstacles that make you sad, worried, etc. It can't do anything to satisfy you deeply. Plus, if you have it for too long without anything else to strive for, it fucks up your sense of normal and you're unable to feel properly happy by buying stuff the way you usually can
