How does one get into the comic book industry as a writer?

Be sure to give good blowjobs.
become friends with people already in the industry
or become famous enough that they'd let you write if you told them you wanted to
>>94860572
Be an SJW, first off
Make comics. Make connections.

become part of a minority

Neither of these actually matter or the makeup of writers wouldn't be what it was. Like look at the black people Marvel actually hired: two prestigious novelists who've won national awards. That's not easy entry.
I think the easiest route to Marvel right now is to be a YA novelist and the easiest route to DC is to already be writing comics and get in via their talent workshop.
But like, comics actually has no barrier to entry. You can start making and printing a comic right now, or hire an artist or w/e, and get a small print run to start selling. Submit to zines and script submissions: Commando comics just finished one, 2000AD will start one in Sept. Nobody will hire you to write your favourite hero on the back of nothing, and honestly if that's the only reason you want to write comics the industry is better off without you.
create a webcomics with shitty art but with decent plot and fun writing.

His art isn't as shitty anymore.
>hire webcomic writers for guest spots on the Big Two
>fuck up and hire the wrong writers
It's convoluted and hard to follow, but Unsounded is legit better than half the comics output of both Marvel and DC by a country mile

Why would Ashley work for Marvel or DC though?
>>94860572
the real question is, why would you want to?
the only good answer is "money" but there are far better ways to earn money

Like what? Cryptocurrencies?

>Why would Ashley work for Marvel or DC though?
and that's the question, isn't it? What writers do want to work for the big two?
