There'd be no conflict for a telepath character. They could instantly read a bad guy's mind and figure out his evil scheme, they could sense any ambush coming, they could easily know who the killer is in a murder mystery-type situation, and if they're really powerful, they could mindfuck any bad guy before he could do anything. As a result, psychic characters have to job on a regular basis.
