Homestar is has absurdist, avant garde humor which comes mostly from wordplay thats made very easy to digest by its characters and the way they talk and interact with each other. it also has a lasting appeal because all of the weird pop culture shit they make fun of was already outdated by the time it came out, plus theres this level of interactivity the viewer has with the show itself, making it something thats really best seen on the internet.
