Honestly it mostly reminded me of this one. As badly as he was damaged and as little damage he did to Megatron while amped up on that energon. I see it as the moment Starscream gave up REALLY trying to kill Megatron. And then later down here >>94868320 he tries going after Megatron's spirit and that doesn't even work. Every Time Starscream was on top of the world, Megatron was there to knock him down. Finding Ore-13/Ultra Energon didn't give him enough power to kill Megatron. Leading the Decepticons after AHM brought on dissidents among the troops, cannibalism and energon shortage. Then leading the new "free world" of Cybertron, he was still scared would topple his house of cards

It pretty much happens to anyone that isn't from the first few seasons of the show.

-First appearance of the Micromasters ends up with them all dead, then they start showing up as "normal" transformers then most of them also get killed.
-Japanese transformers get killed constantly
-G2 Transformers have mostly shown up as fodder. Hell, Electro's only appearance was getting shot to pieces.
-Pretenders are mostly dead.

That whole thing is a mess. It's kind of fucking stupid that Scott decided to write the TF racism metaphor that, while kind of making sense for what it is in terms of "giant robot society", completely undermines it as a racism metaphor (which was the only reason it existed in the first place).

Not the same thing, the characters you listed are headliners. You're not seriously going to tell me the G1 cast from the first two seasons is comparable to Avengers team, or JL? The only characters on that caliber are Starscream, Megatron, Bee, and Optimus, everyone else might as well be a c lister or below. Within the fandom that might vary, but lets not kid ourselves, most of these characters don't have that kind of popularity.

Not him, but the IDW version only seemed to start fearing Megatron when he got his Bomber body, and the fear was mostly Starscream being scared that Megatron was a better leader and that he would never surpass him. When it came to fighting, he didn't seem that scared to face him.
