The Mignola-verse has multiple writers, but it's all filtered through Mignola himself. Everything is canon, follows continuity and should more or less fit together like puzzle pieces.
It's not quite solo-creator, but it's certainly a far cry from the clusterfuck you get with really long running series.

Thats because logistically it makes sense for Manta to be in a wetsuit with as few electronics as possible exposed. Meanwhile, characters like batman look better in slight armor. Would I prefer if most of the cast got skins/ gear pieces that were more faithful to some of their more classic/ iconic appearances? Yes, but I dont think there is a single character in the game who is visually offensive apart from maybe Black Adam who is so fucking ugly that it killed any interest I might have had in playing as him
