I still maintain that jack, while by all means a terrible comic, is in principle better than a ton of modern webcomics simply due to the fact that it had the balls to really genuinely try to do taboo aesops as opposed to hiding under a veneer of self deprecation as an excuse to pump out lazy milquetoast relatable humor and cuddly by the numbers weeaboo indie cartoonist art.

It tried, it tried way too hard, but it fucking tried.

I really hate that self depreciation and ironically enjoying things has become the norm. Everyone's too thin skinned to just enjoy things because they're so afraid that someone will shit on their tastes that they have to pretend they only like them ironically.

That's not even close to the worst thing in the comic.

There's musical holes which is like musical chairs only with rape, anyone who doesn't have his dick in an orifice when the music stops is killed.

There's the Pit of Lust where everyone is fused into one huge blob off flesh, and they're all still conscious.

Then there's the sin of Lust himself, who in life was a serial murder-rapist who trained multiple successors in the art of murder-raping so that if he was ever caught the authorities would forever worry that they may have caught the wrong guy. He encountered his daughter, who hated her father but had never met him, and seduced her then revealed who he was just to fuck with her.

Hell in Jack is a fucked up place.
