So /co/, what do you guys think about Old Man Logan? (The character)

I gotta hand it to Marvel, bringing into 616 was pretty clever.
They cater to movie fans (even if it's a FOX movie), bring back the real Wolverine, and still get to have their girl Wolverine.

It's Marvel "killing" Wolverine without actually killing him. It's safe and lazy.

Once the real Logan comes back, Laura will have zero reason to remain as Wolverine. She only used his identity to honor him. I mean yeah, Marvel might give Logan the "Unworthy Thor" treatment or the Peter/Miles treatment, but this would go against their great claims of bringing the original heroes back into the limelight.
Doesn't quite have the same personality and looks. Feels like they were just trying to synergize with the movies by using a Logan that was less of an eternally enraged beefy manlet.
I thought the story he originated in was great. Don't really care for the idea of bringing him to the mainstream Marvel universe, though. He's not really made for continuous stories, his narrative had a beginning, middle and end. It'd be like like if DC tried to bring Red Son Superman into the mainstream DCU. Or, I guess the more accurate comparison would be when they brought Kingdom Come Superman into the mainstream DCU. Regardless of how they attempt to rationalize it (in Kingdom Come Superman's case, his turn in the DCU was sort of an interquel to Kingdom Come, not sure how they did it with Old Man Logan), it feels like an attempt to cash-in on the good will fans feel for these versions of the characters.
