I'm an X-men fan, and I think this sucks. Inhumans have a rich set of lore and characters, and this show seems to be neutering it. Both Inhuman fans and X-men fans are sufferring from this.

It's a part of the MCU, but they don't come up in the Avengers or other movie series. Marvel does movies similarly to how they do comics, each series is for the most part written independently and tie-ins and references are never required viewing (eg. Avengers 1 is referenced in almost every TV series but everything you need to know is explained in episode). The only series allowed to break this rule are big team-up series like Avengers and Defenders (though even then it's restricted to titular characters).
