Transmet's pretty good stuff. You might like the Nikopol Trilogy and Strontium Dogs, and I'm pretty fond of the comic adaptation of The Stars My Destination.

It could be interesting
Every 2 episodes is about a different runner team doing seemingly unrelated missions
You'd get a variety of approaches from super spies to pink mohawks to mystic negotiations to cyber-assaults to oceans 11 social infiltrators to a pixie, a yeti, and a sharkboy trying to be social infiltrators.
Sometimes they could come at odds or assist eachother in unexpected ways (the spies had Mr. Johnson hire the pink mohawk team to draw law enforcement's attention by blowing up a matrix cafe in a ritzy area)
And then everything ties up into a Megacorp's plan to fuck someone or something over, either very important or very petty
Anywho, How's 5e?

OP, here. I want to like the books because they are Shadowrun, one of my two favorite fictional settings. But i just can't bring myself to like them, they are just not good. At least Never Deal with a Dragon got adapted into the SNES game.

And now that I think about it, the old Marvel 2099 line had at least a couple decent books in Doom 2099 and Spider-Man 2099. I haven't read X-Men 2099 since I was a kid so I don't know how well it holds up, but it's a team of freaks with unique abilities navigating the cyberpunk hellhole of a future Las Vegas that regards them as subhuman and expendable.

And Luna is best girl.

If it's on netflix, each episode being an hour long isn't entirely out of the question, which would mean more character/setting development too

Also, half and hour or and hour, they could set up some recurring characters (information brokers, fixers, smugglers) for more continuity
