I mean, he's good at writing a review and delivers actual criticism with thorough explanations, making sure to deliver the message across as accurately as possible rather than yell outrageously (except when he does, of course, which is where you can see his cringey side more clearly). The main problem he has is his political bias that he might let get in the way, his own need to establish his superiority in his role as the reviewer, and so on. He is very good at picking up actual themes, patterns, recurrences, and often advises on alternative ways that a writer for a comic/show should have chosen that re usually pretty sound in mind.

Sketch segments and storylines seem to be pretty disliked. A lot of video review guys have had their sketches turning overly long, dramatic, and hijacking their reviews. Just get to the point and don't start writing some boring side story that no one cares about.
