Star Wars is all of the fascist empires of all time.
That's what made ANH such a special movie
Because it was all of them and recognizable so
It wasn't just Nazi, or Roman, or anything.
The Empire was "Oppressive State"
And that was shown to the audience within the first shot.
ANH was a near perfect movie and I think it reflected George's education.
The rest of the movies didn't do as good a job in that, but they were still good, even if they were, in my opinion only, lesser.

Also, when I first watched Clone Wars I didn't like the Order 66 chip thing cause I felt it didn't gel with what we saw of the clones in the movies. But thinking back on it now it really makes the whole situation even more tragic. The only people who suffered more than the Jedi cause of the order were the clones, being forced to kill their closest friends, the only people in the galaxy who actually fought beside the clones and saw them as people instead of faceless soldiers. And then they're just discarded by the empire. What a raw deal for what was essentially an army of battle-slaves.
