Does this fag have any good early runs? I know John's saved GL but holy fuck are the early shit bad.
Like dumb Zamarons and guardians leaving together to paradise but suddenly they decide to fuck male korugarians instead and somehow killing one destroys the power battery bad. Or how Oans living on earth were the basis for pixies or something.
I've read the silverage stuff and that is much better than Flash but bronze age GL is utter shit.
>he hasn't read Green Lantern/Green Arrow
What are you even doing?

Is it good? I read the panel about that black dude going about the plights of blackmen and Orangemen and bluemen. Reading that felt a bit outdated and subtle as a fucking brick
Is the rest of the run like that? Hell I read the first issue and one of the guardians randomly decides to go explore America with Hal.

Bronze Age GL > Silver Age GL
But beware, nu-/co/ /V/-lite contrarians will pretend Johns ruined GL and that 'o Neil was an untouchable masterpiece. If you're just asking for non-Johns runs, check out Hard Traveling Heroes, Willworld and Mosaic. Christopher Priest's story in that weekly was also pretty good, and check out Kyle's solo run if you're into more Spiderman-style standard heroics.

I'm >>94736213 , there's a "very special episode" vibe through the whole run, and a lot of issues dedicated to, well, tackling social issues in a hamfisted way. If you don't like schmaltzy schlocky 80's cheese, GL/GA isn't for you.

I didn't think John ruined it. I'll check your suggestions but from what I've read I like silverage a lot. My fave are the Alan Scott earth 2 crossovers.

I don't think it's nu-/co/. It's probably those fucking obnoxious twats that used to hang around other comics boards and bitch and moan about Geoff Johns' Green Lantern.
The post-Wein/Gibbons Englehart/Staton run is GOAT, esp when Guy Gardner steamrolls everybody. Plus it's Kilowog's intro.

Marv Wolfman GL is fantastic
Say what you like about the silver age writing but Gil Kane was a god-tier artist.

Yeah he drew the hell out of GL's hoof there
>>94739422
My only problem with Gil Kane was the faces. Something about them just doesn't click with me.
