Dofus/Wakfu are based on the RPG game with the same name. It's about the adventures of Joris (Dofus series) and Yugo (Wakfu series) in the World of Twelve.
It's a pretty decent series made by french fries. The Wakfu series have 2 Seasons + 3 OVAs and the Dofus series has a 1 season and 1 movie.

You can either:
- Start with the Dofus series and movie and then move to Wakfu series
or
- Watch the 1st season and then move to the Dofus series + movie and then continue with the 2nd season of Wakfu and the OVAs.
After that, you can check the Ogrest special and the comics.

Wakfu 3rd season is comming next month and everyone is "excited" about it.
