I liked him because he came along at the time when Supes was starting to be powered back up from the milquetoast pushover he was since post-Crisis to this point.

Oh, and the pearls-clutching from bringing back super-breath as one of his powers. I just never got how projecting heat from his eyes was a-ok but cold breath was goofy. If anything, super breath makes much more sense than heat vision.

DC Galactus was kind of cool, even if they couldn't pull him off very well.

It was a nice touch where they went all GaoGaiGar, and the first appearance of him that Supes fought so hard against was just a tiny scout.

I enjoyed this arc. Diana's shit getting wrecked, Kansas blowing up to pieces, Superman going Super Saiyan, Strange Visitor biting the dust. Doomsday turned into ashes.
