Kinda the issue with doing a story mode in a game whose roster is almost all heroes where the story isn't heroes vs. heroes. Monster Hunter is one of the DLC characters on the capcom side. The other DLC characters are Sigma, Ant-man, Black Panther, Venom, and a final Capcom character that we aren't sure about though there's a high chance it ends up being Grandmaster Meio so they can just recycle his model from story mode like Black Panther and Sigma.

Those characters aren't in which game because they were "low tier". The reason Spencer of all fucking people is there is because competitive players like using him, apparently. None of the characters are here because of the story, they're here because Capcom is pleasing the competitive players over anyone else. Even if these are fan favorites you can see that Capcom isn't doing this game to please the casual fans who just love crossover games and have loved MvC outside the competitive area, while Marvel is doing MCU shilling with a few exceptions.
