I'm confused as to why his cape would tear like this and I guess the person who drew this isn't aware f either the (a) aura concept of the costume or (b) general invulnerability of anything Kryptonian/blanket is the cape version of the origin stories.

I'm mostly confused because the rest of the costume (what you could see) is intact. I suppose if the drawing was in the context of something like the Doomsday battle it would be clearer.

I otherwise like it.

JLA was such a weird thing. There were five superman books, and yet the only time Supes was actually in character was in the team up book.

What's some good stuff to show a friend that wants to get into superman? Not reading stuff, but good animated movies and shows? To kind of get his feet wet?
The thing that came to mind was Superman vs. the Elite
The JLA episodes were he gets stuck on the planet with the red sun, and the man who has everything episode. And of course All Star.
