What I'm weirded out is why the different species have ghettoized themselves. The carapaces I can see, since the first generation were refugees from Roxy's home, but the humans and trolls were born here with each other so they wouldn't think of each other as alien.

Remember how we were introduced to him as a survivor (http://www.mspaintadventures.com/?s=6&p=002657) and then we learned that he was a Skaia native farmer that was fed up with Kings and Monarchies managed to actually get the two armies to stop fighting and oppose the kings (http://www.mspaintadventures.com/?s=6&p=003701)? Remember his nightmare regarding his hang ups over the Queen’s Rings and Bec Noir.

And then he became the mayor. Basically a dakimakura for the meteor full of idiot children. And for another piece of annoyance, in the post-retcon John had completely forgotten about him.

I really hope that if Homestuck were ever presented to people who actually write (ie not teenagers on the internet) they’d do nothing but criticize it.

You could make the argument that both Dads are directly descended from Sburb genetic players so they get some kind of superhuman abilities.

It's just grandfathered in from a time when the comic wasn't attempting to be realistic when a middle aged man was lifting giant safes above his head and crushing RPG game monsters and chess people.

I read parts of Homestuck, never finished it. What I did read I liked.
I have the utmost sympathy for anyone who was there early on and just got too hooked to let go, it seems painful what happened to the comic over the past like 3 or so years. It still hasn't officially ended has it?

I'm gonna act the same way when Adventure Time finally ends though hopefully that will have a better ending.

In my personal opinion, it's a hard maybe. If you're hard struck for biased continuations of the source material or just want to see more of what could have been then yeah.

If otherwise then no. They aren't awful by any means and each of them have something different and significant about their stories, also the art for all three is really good but like I mentioned up above they all suffer from the same 'bias' problem.

Act Omega is biased in characters and relationships that didn't get enough time in the spotlight, Act 8 is biased in Gamzee and tries to make him redeemable and I haven't read through Doube Death Of The Author all the way but it just tries to cram everything in there to please everyone and it doesn't really work at least from what I've read.

Oh yeah, and there's Fat Karkat.

It was funny webcomic about kids playing vidya which somehow leaked in their reality (they could modify their houses, create stuff which they could hold by their own hands, etc) and later teleported them in some kind of meta universe, where they continued playing. Also there were carapaces (guys on OP pic) who lived on post-apocaliptic Earth.
Later there were trolls, who played they own version of vidya (and had their own versions of postap carapaces called Midnight Crew) and they were okay for me till some moment.

And later comic about deadly vidyas became animesque, shippy and all the appeal was killed.

It's very funny.
The characters are all really well done with subtle arcs that never interfere with the comedy.
The update schedule is insanely fast.
There are a huge number of mysteries that more often than not have satisfying reveals building towards a really interesting and unique setting.

And then the comic went on another five and a half years.
