This actually would've been a better outcome, it's more realistic, funny, and subversive, something that would've happened in the old Invincible comics. Having the army give up and turn their selves in after her speech made no sense since she seemed to be the only one who noticed/was bothered by her Father's casual disregard towards his childrens' lives, everyone else was fine with it. Kirkman missed a solid opportunity in showing how how Thragg's influence only reduces those that believe in him into nothing more but battle drones while the only one with sense looks forward in despair at how her siblings are still willing to throw their selves into death's arms.
