Never seen it, looks harmless enough, stop being mad that other people like things you don't consider special.
>>
>>94684483
Fuck off, I call bullshit when I see it, and people treat it like some kind of masterpiece of cinema.

>>
>>94684435
Obviously if you watch Brave Little Toaster as an adult it's not going to have the same effect as watching it as a child. That film scarred a generation, it's the reason I keep welding my car instead of sending it to the scrapyard.
>>
>>94684589
>kino
>>
>>94684570
I'm a different anon.
>>
>>94684435
First movie was great. Skip the rest. Just like Land Before Time.

Worthless was the best song and gave me a complex about dumping old cars. Kids these days can't handle a little genuine despair and the cold pitiless spectre of death in their cartoons. Oddly enough the clown nightmare never scared me. It was pretty much just the dump sequence and the narcissus flower that got to me as a child. Both were heartwrenching and looking back I appreciate that my entertainment took me seriously enough to expose me to real emotion without immediately trying to fix everything and constantly remind me that everything will be okay.
>>
>>94684498
I do believe you are on some fucking crack. The Brave Little Toaster has THE best subtext for the acceptance of death, obsolescence, the fragility of love and life, and (ironically) nostalgia's place in an adult's life. Quit being mad at shit.
>>
>>94684508
Finally we can admit it.
Faux-anime is gross. Even watching this as a ten year old some moments from the show were groanworthy.

>>
>>94685224
Pretty much this. Honestly, I don't think many give enough credit to the series formula since Misty's left. It kind of took a while for the series as a whole to find its new voice, so to speak. Before they didn't give girl characters much to do until May and they perfected it with Dawn. Iris was just Misty dipped in chocolate with less hitting and the Alola girls are kind of their own thing.

I think SM wants to marry both the fun gags of the original series with the battle animation direction that's been on top of its game since Sinnoh.

Teen Titans cartoon

Teen Titans Go

Nice bullshit
>>
>>94698629
Sorry that you don't remember the actual Teen Titans fans calling out the weebtoon for what it really was. Only dumbass teens and tweens gave a shit about this show when it first aired because they'd never read the real Teen Titans.
>>
>>94698726
Sorry that you're a bitter cunt who can't handle an alternate take on things and enjoy a show that wasn't all that bad.
>>
>>94698629
Let's see here. I don't remember
>Starfire's rape and abuses suffered under her own sister seeking her into slavery
>The full truth about Raven's lineage
>The fact that thr Doom Patrol was good and dead by the time Changeling joined the team
>The fact that Robin was close to being done with being Robin
>Brother Blood being a cultist
>Deathstroke hiring and fucking Terra to be a double agent
>Robin and Star fire having tons of sex
>The complete absence of Speedy, Wonder Girl, and Aqualad as core members
>The massive team deaths

It's almost as if they watered down a comic book meant for older teens to attract a children's audience and stylized it as a faux anime to appeal to all the younger kids who have stronger memories of Toonami than to the Batman/Superman Hour.
>>
>>94698915
It's almost as if they did their own take because a cartoon is not obligated to follow the source material 100% to what was done in the books before.
>>
>>94698871

Look, you can be butt hurt all you want about people not liking your shit adaptation to one of DC's better series. It's fine for you to like trash; like people who defend Man of Steel or think that Ultimate Spider-Man is a good show.

It doesn't change the fact that it IS a bad adaptation.

Very true. I find Go to be an abomination, but I can honestly say I only watched the cartoon to jack off to Starfire. It was all flash, no substance.

Legitimately bad. The only thing about shows like Liquid Television is that they give you a good idea of what indie animation was like back then; its better as a historical curiosity than something to be watched for its own sake.

I remember really liking this when they aired it on CN, but I'm not sure if it was because it was a legitimately fun show, or because it seemed mature in comparison to the rest of the network's lineup at the time and I was an insecure kid.

>The show made by the same studio (I think) about surfing was hot garbage though.

The only thing wrong with this movie was how badly Cartoon Network liked to overplay it back in the day.

I liked Rocko.

But I agree on the rest tho. Especially Rugrats. I thought it was only an "Okay" cartoon when I was kid. Nothing Spectacular, but apparently Nick thought it was great enough to have 3 Movies on the Big Screen and a Spin-off series with them as Preteens. I personally never understood all the hype

Mediocre show, terrible fanbase.
>>
>>94707710
It only seems to because we've stayed focused on a super serious Batman. Once people get tired of serious Bats, BTAS will seem really weird; just like how The Batman was trying way too hard to be toy oriented and failed.

>>94707750
Nah, fuck you. I had to watch it when nothing was on and it's one of the most boring shows I've ever seen.

but if he doesn't bitch about people refusing to stop liking what he doesn't like, how will they know to stop?

You're a retard. It doesn't "seem". It is a good show that stands the test of time because of generally good writing barring few sloppy episodes, visuals, proper tension, etc.
>muh tone
Because Adam West's Batman or Brave and The Bold are so bad now, eh?
>>
>>94707772
I don't believe you.
>>
>>94703426
I'd say it's UNDERrated for being simply mediocre yet getting so much hate.
>>
>>94707810
You're jumping to some really big conclusions.

The point is more that every superhero show heavily needs to be read by the glasses of the times they were made in. 60s Spider-Man was a fantastic representation of the early Spider-Man stories but look NOTHING like a modern Spider story. Same for Superfriends and the old Fleisher Superman cartoons. I remember disliking The Adventures of Superman because he seemed so much weaker than the Superman of the Superfriends. BTAS is well written to use because that's the way Batman "ought" to be written. Remember; thr 80s Batman movie was maligned by a lot by people who grew up with Adam West Batman because they felt he "shouldn't be serious". BatB is so fondly remembered BECAUSE it embraced the wacky Camp Batman.

It's less of a matter of "bad" and more of a matter of "not muh". We might even see a time when people don't get the hate for Man of Steel because that might be how Supes is legitimately written in the future.
