I don't know if the scripts are real, but taking Jimmy Neutron into a more grimdark direction was definitely in the plans. Nickelodeon didn't allow it since they didn't want anything overshadwing Avatar (which was airing at the time), so we get the shitshow that was Planet Sheen instead.
