You think Marvel will ever get Rom and the Micronauts back?

I wish Marvel/Disney could make a deal with Hasbro/Paramount/IDW akin to the Spider-Man deal to allow Marvel and IDW to publish the books in 616 and have both Paramount and Marvel handle the movies and Hasbro keeps the toy rights.

Is Paramount going to be allowed to use Rom's Marvel orign and the Dire Wraiths for their announced movie?

No, but then they own all of the characters created for and introduced in the comics and a version of the dire wraiths, same for the micronauts. Hell, Bendis even created a bootleg baron Karza that they can use if the ever want to bring back Arcturus Rann and the microns.

Nope. Best you can hope for is reprints. IDW already reprints Transformers and GI Joe.

Problem there is that most transformers characters are owned by Hasbro marvel heroes guest staring is usually a one off thing, but with ROM, and the micronauts to an extent, the majority of his background characters are completely owned by marvel.

ROM is the only thing in his comic not owned by marvel.

Why do they want to keep that copyright so hard anyway? The comic is the only redeemable thing about ROM. The toy it was promoting bombed because well of course it was going to bomb look at this stupid thing. Keeping the character doesn't make them any money and just makes everybody unhappy.
