I actually predict that Nefcy will deny starco from the fandom for at least the remainder of the season just to keep people on the edges of their seats. There will be some slow and steady starco developments, and Marco might slowly start to explore his feelings and slooowwwwllyy start to advance towards realizing that despite wanting things to stay the same, he might see Star as more than a friend - but it'll be countered by
a) reminiscing about the romance between Star and Tom, Tom growing as a character and truly leaving the "asshole demon ex bf who's manipulative and possibly abusive" role he played upon introduction behind him for good
b) Jackie, despite expectations, not getting dropped asap or by even mid-season, but instead staying on the show and as Marco's gf and their relationship progressing and blossoming and

I really can't see that happening since Janna is a comic relief character whose humor revolves around being snarky and treating other people in horrible ways.
Around 99% of Janna's characterisation is that she's an amoral scoundrel who enjoys breaking rules, provoking others and laughing at them, while Tom's characterisation is that he's got severe anger but also loneliness and vulnerability issues and Marco's pretty much the only friend he has. It doesn't fit.

Star getting cucked again is a strong point though, I'll give you that. Maybe Janna will become friends with Ponyhead, and Star will feel even more left out? or it'll turn out Janna's got a thing for Marco, too? Or maybe, the worst of all, would be that Star starts to consider Tom again, but he strikes first and declares that he's gotten over her and now sees that they weren't good together and are better as friends, and besides he's kinda developed an interest in the mysterious princess who liberated St O's anyway?

Depends on what they do with Jackie

I sort of doubt both princess Star of house Butterfly and prince Thomas of house Lucitor will end up with common magic-less Earth humans. Tom might just be left single, or paired with some demon chick. However there's all that shared name and matching personalities and elemental themes thing.
So I'd say IF Jackie turns out to either have some connection to merfolk or will be magicked into one, the chances of tom x jackie will immediately go through the roof. If she stays a normal Earth chick, not so sure. I mean Marco had to level up via 16 years in the Heka dimension, which surely add to his already noteworthy karate and survival skills in some way
