Cartoon Network has pretty much always been in states of varying degrees of shit. I think alot of people who grew up during the hey-days of CN such as myself don't actually remember exactly what it was like then. Sure they had more shows and they were much higher quality overall, but they still knew fuckall about about programming and would rerun the same episodes incessantly. They happened to have good creators that made some decent-to-great shows, but they've never been good at constructing good programming blocks from them. Toonami and Adult Swim were the exceptions.

Fagminds thinking "dude it's not cartoons is worse than cartoons on a cartoon channel" over blowing the situation out of proportion. It was a small block rather than scattered airings like EVERY other cartoon channel is doing and was doing at that time. Snyder thought it was the next network game and we're lucky he did it in an orderly testing fashion rather than 50% mixing.

TTG's spam has done a lot worse, getting shows canned, even their big runners, pushing literally every series off the chart, and has ended up making their ratings drop even with TTG premieres they promote for 2 months with marathons.

Great shows, save for Star Wars and Secret Saturdays, didn't watch those two.
Secret Saturdays looked like a Pokemon style show about cryptids which sounds pretty fucking cool and I was never that into Star Wars.

Does he address the point about how reruns in general don't do as well on TV anymore thanks to the internet, so Cartoon Network has been shifting focus to the online market? Teen Titans Go being on the network constantly is basically an alternative to streaming the show on demand, which doubles as filler to pad out the time outside of premiers (which is the only thing they're really concerned with these days).
