I've never been a fan of the bat family. This is perhaps why i liked TAS : Robin and batgirl appear a few times and when they do it's well done.
It should be focus on detective stuff, vilain characters and bruce wayne.

A 12 episode mini-series during Batman's first year from the perspective of Gotham's crime families where Batman is treated like something out of a horror moviw and we only ever see him when the mobsters do.

Play it up like a film noir gangster series fused with an 80's slasher film where you're actively cheering for the killer because the protagonists are genuinely awful people who deserve it, but there's always one or two that you kinda feel bad for because they were just in a bad situation and we kind of okay.

Only the "Killer" in this case doesn't actually kill anyone.
