Instead of trying to sell a show about Almost Naked Aminals, the dub puts more focus on the Hotel. The character designs are just part of the scenery and not the main catch.
Also, improved the voice acting, but this one is basic procedure to fix awful shows. Show is still medicore but medicore is a huge improvment to the original.

A cartoon should not set out to make their characters unbearable to look at, that stubble effect (even on the fucking octopus), is repulsive.
