Probably just anons who had a kneejerk reaction to the synergy going on. Sure, there's stuff like that such as Quill now having a love of music and baby Groot, but Duggan's also bringing old stuff back like Drax's once being a saxophone-player, the Fraternity of Raptors, Phyla-Vell, and Soul World. And even then, he's putting twists on the synergy like baby Groot being the result of someone sapping his growth to create an army of evil Groots who act more like pre-DnA Groot.

Duggan's building cosmic Marvel back up and it's all a lot more entertaining than Bendis GotG ever was.

I've seen quite a few people on /co/ surprised at the quality after bothering to try it. I think it's just that a lot believe it to just be the same as Bendis' GOTG. If you enjoy the book, it'd probably help to correct this misconception as much as possible.

Plus double-shipping at $3.99 doesn't help.
