It was after some weird fucked up show with this guy smearing toothpaste on himself while people called in or something, I had it muted while I waited for the episode to be on. And a few minutes before it was about to start I turned on the volume, and there's a guy calling in, and the main dude covered in toothpaste and something that looked like cum coming out of his mouth said 'so do you wanna know what happens next?' and the guy on the phone was like 'well i hope it's rick and morty' and the guy says 'what if it was even better'
and it was all downhill from there

Something similar to this episode happened in the comic.
Rick was commissioned to build a giant space labyrinth at some point in the past.
In the story he and morty (and i think summer) get sent to that labyrinth but rick built in secrets only he knew about and just rules the place.
