I don't think it'd catch on unless they really overemphasized the action. So much of Usagi is about comfy Japanese cultural practices and shadowy scheming and conspiracies. Normies would find that stuff boring, especially since whatever previous recognition they'll have of Usagi will almost certainly be his tie-ins with TMNT and they'll just expect it to be exactly the same thing.
