>Villain is thrown into a cardboard asylum instead of prison after causing untold destruction & death
Do comic writers understand what the "insanity defense" actually means?
>>94611740
No, they don't.
some of them go into regular prison and break out too, it doesn't make a difference functionally
>>94611740
If comic book writers knew how the real world worked they could get real jobs.
If supervillains would be locked up for good or killed, writers would need to put actual effort in their work and create new interesting villains on a regular basis.

>implying regular comic book prisons would hold them.
Here's your (you).

>mass murdering villain gets thrown in jail with bank robbers instead of being executed

Fucking Joker immunity is cancer
>>94612213
Marvel/DC should honestly allow their writers to permanently kill off their villains. It gets stagnated after awhile when they are constantly using the same villains. Nevermind the fact that they reuse the same plot that another previous writer did.

>even when they get put in "high security" places they always get out by some ridiculous trickery
>>94612750
That's what they did with ultimates and look what happened

>Implying Joker Immunity will ever end
"Oy gevalt jerry! Dis new villain is sellin' like fresh bagels & lox! Find a way to bring em' back into the plot!"
Because G-d forbid people have to be creative
>>94612750
I'm not sure why you'd think that is better. We get new villains all the time and they're boring trash.

You're not proving him wrong.
