Well, I can't speak for other adaptations, but in this case the characters were designed by Chinese artists especifically to pander to the Chinese market, so there's that I guess.

Future Fight's pretty fun but I find the constant movie/current comics pandering to be kind of annoying (they even worked that Inhumans vs X-Men bullshit into the X-Men questline ffs)

DC Unchained looks like it'll be literally Future Fight but without those obnoxious elements, so I'm definitely looking forward to that.
