Seasons 1-3 were great
Seasons 4-5 were ok
Seasons 6-8 lost me

I haven't finished the series yet but I'm almost done with season 6. So far, it's the worst season of the show.

The finale wasn't THAT great. It was enjoyable but I think people rated it highly, because it was the last episode.

Eeeeeeeeeeeh yeah, I can see it. Honestly with the amount of absolute junk that comes out of cartoons these days it's understandable that something like the finale would rank that high. It hit the notes it needed to, played on lots of built-up emotion, and the ending resonated well with adult viewers who could relate to the "speed of life" montage.

It's like MCU Guardians of the Galaxy, without the Raccoon and 80's music/references isn't so good.

In most episodes they meet a guardian of the activity they are performing or from an alternate dimension, so... most of these episodes follow the same formula.

Also try to avoid all that shit about Mordecai and his girlfriends.
