Ok.

Niko and the Sword of Light is fairly well animated but the plots are super simple little lessons that fit better for a grade school audience without enough substance to make it interesting for an older viewer.

The only reason this show had such big threads a while back was degenerates posting about the girl character and now that's died down and everyone has moved on to talking about better shows.

It was pretty decent. It was like a more kiddy Avatar, but that's not necessarily a bad thing, since it has a strong execution. The worst thing is that it's a little simplistic and Nar Est isn't as interesting as his animation is. Favorite episode is eight.

I wonder what they'll do for season two, since the plot is all resolved by the season finale.

In terms of personality, he's basically the best parts of Yugo and Grovy from Wakfu, but without all their cringeworthy crap. He does the whole "warrior who can't shut up" bit, but it's more endearing here since he's a kid and he's all about the mission instead of glorifying himself. Less "I'm the Avatar! And you have to deal with it!" and more "I'm the Champion! How may I be of service, kind folk?"

In my opinion, he's what Korra ought to have been in terms of a protagonist. A screwball barbarian capable of empathy, self-sacrifice, and heroism with the story occasionally showing the wisdom in his simplemindedness and audacity. So he's still a foil for Aang, but without having to enter the realms of outright incompetency and virtue-signaling.

There's a B-story about how messed up the "Champion" system is and how Lyra's people basically kept trying to manufacture their own Chosen Ones to disastrous effect that gradually builds over the course of the show and has a tremendous pay-off near the end.

Mandok has a quaint arc that is greatly enhanced by Tom Kenny's performance

In terms of comedy, a lot of it comes from the chemistry Niko and Lyra share with Nar Est and Rasper as the secondary comedic duo. Standout gags include an entire civilization of hyper-bureaucratic yetis, Niko vs a forest that shows your deepest regrets in spite of the fact that he's just a week old at that point, racist pacifist shrimps, and most of Episode 11.

Oh, and Corey Burton is in this and has a wonderfully slimy role that you'll hate to love.

They aren't a clone since they're all different. They probably are closer to a golem than a human since then need the crystal shard (or the pools) to continue to exist. I'm guessing their fighting experience is something they're born with and boils down to "its magic, I ain't gotta explain shit".
The pools didn't age him because it was his destiny to defeat the darkness in his current state.

You could say the same for any "Chosen One" scenario, but I liked how explicitly nasty their version of it was. To be precise, I was appalled and intrigued at the implication that Lyra might have taken the Shard from a few Champions when they weren't completely or she wasn't entirely sure they were dead, leaving them to die from either their mortal wounds or from the lack of life-sustaining magic.

If it was a darker show, we could have dwelled more on the fact that she might only care for Niko as much as she does because she can't just get another Champion later down the line and that the only reason Nar Est's forces got to the Temple's door step to destroy the Chrysalis was because she was unable to defeat the wizard in a timely fashion, giving him the opportunity to grow in power as the decades rolled on.
