That, Year One, and Born Again are pretty much the best superhero comics.
Such an excellent comic about a great man. I might just be a big Beatles fan though. It oozes love and respect.
>>94543740
I love Nao of Brown too.
>>94543764
Some DC.
>>94543801
Although it's not perfect, Remenders Uncanny X-Force run was fantastic.
>>94543844
Hellboy, of course. Not any arc in particular.
>>94543880
Oh and Morrisons Batman run. Batman & Robin being the highlight.
I really liked Dan the Unharmable, but it was cut down in its prime.
>>94543914
Also sorry for being pleb, but I really love Apocalypse War. I've not read as much 2kAD as I'd have liked to.
>>94543961
>>94544055
what the heck is this I need to read it asap as possible
Personally, the most fun I ever had reading a comic was batman: year one. The part where batman is besieged in a collapsing building by the swat team, to be more specific.
>>94543885
maggie and hopey are literally OTP
The best single issue of an ongoing series DC has ever produced.
I was so into this when it was originally running.
>>94544216
what the fuck. reads it right now
>>94543406
SM 2099 will always be my favorite.
>>94544090
My all time favourite book. A post-post-apocalypse story where prehistoric life has returned and now competes for dominion of the Earth.
Originally called Xenozoic Tales, but was renamed to Cadillacs and Dinosaurs later.
Also had a decent cartoon.

I will never stop loving this comic.
Since Year One and Love and Rockets are covered, I'll give a shout out to an Underrated series, it tied up the mess that was most of the 2005-2011 DCU in a really satisfactory way and gave the JLI a great chance to shine.
>>94544478
The Simonson FF should get so much more love than it does.
Absolute Perfection
>>94544443
I have issue 1 of this, I found it in my closet not too long ago. Literally have no reccolection of ever getting it.
>>94543406
An tremendously underrated book that illustrates perfectly not only what Superman is all about, but especially what Clark Kent is all about.
Marvel Zombies vs Army of Darkness was wonderful. I could read it over and over and it never gets old.
All the Moore 90s stuff (Wildcats fuck yeah) but especially this.

It's got a lot of issues, but I'll be damned if it doesn't have a special place in my heart. Not this issue in particular but in general.
Still fucking mad about what could've been
>>94546791
which character was your favorite?
Thanks Busposter. This comic is incredibly fun to read.
>>94546191
this is the answer
>>94545002
what is this about
>>94546806
Bunnie, but I loved the cast in general (At least in the reboot, pre-reboot not so much. It had some gems but a lot of meh to bad characters). All characters who never got to be used to their fullest.
>>94546808
no problem friendo. enjoy the brief reprieve from the shitposting. This thread is comfy.
>>94546855
I didn't read much of the sonic comics, but I read a few issues here and there, and I was always surprised more of them didnt make it into the games. Bunnie would have fit perfectly.
>>94546861
Comfiest thread in a while. As calm and concise as John Lennons mind after beating his wife.
>>94546883
Yeah, it's a real pity. Honestly I'd recommend marathoning them at some point. It's a damn fun experience even if there's a lot of really, really bad shit in there.
Can't blame Sega for not putting comic stuff in the games though, considering all the shit the comic's given them between the lawsuits and Archie being retarded
>>94546905
hahahaha,
we can make it up to her if we write a song, its okay to beat her and cheat on her if we write music for her.... wait where did my son go?
>>94546934
yeah thats true, but at least IDW is going to take a shot at it now so that might be worth it.
I'll take a stab at some sonic at somepoint, any reccomended jumping on points/arcs?
>>94543914
Morrison's B&R is borderline perfect
>>94546409
As a fan of the show, is this actually worth reading or no?
>>94547068
what is this
>>94546965
There's 3 points you can jump onto the comics:
A: Start at issue 1 (There's technically a miniseries that's before this but it doesn't even matter) and read everything. This is how you get the most out of the comics, but it also means you encounter the worst the comic has to offer. Conversely, you get to appreciate the absolute best it has to offer too
B: Start at issue 160. This is when the writer that's generally considered to be "the good one" (Ian Flynn) starts writing for the comic and begins cleaning up the mess other writers left behind. You get the best the comic has to offer, but you also miss out on a lot of context, context that makes his best stories as good as they are. Also you will likely need to read the wiki to clarify certain things
C: Start at the reboot at Sonic 252. The absolute safest option. This is the start of the reboot continuity which is much closer to the games and is more consistent in quality. However the bulk of it is an adaptation of Unleashed and it's interrupted by a shitty crossover that means nothing. You never quite hit the highs of the pre-reboot, but never hit the lows either. Has more resolution than the pre-reboot though, but in general, don't expect resolution on some things.
And if you need a reading guide, here's the best one I've found
>>94547113
thanks a lot!
>>94547108
If it's very detailed greyscale manga and features impractical acts of violence, it's probably Berserk
>>94544507
Since Wolverine never gives a fuck about no-kill rules, why doesn't he use guns?
>>94547164
No prob.
>>94546297
huh really makes you think
>>94547171
Good logic, but no. The sauce is in the filename.

Yes. Worth buying it, not commiting piracy. It's actuallly something different, it's pretty cool, I guess.
>>94547336
Alright, I'll give it a shot. Thanks man.
