The ending was far too abrupt for my liking but I've found whenever I put the show on I always end up watching the nest episode. It's pretty typical of any show, starts off a little awkward whilst it finds it footing, finds its niche and goes full steam ahead then ends on a note which is wholly unsatisfactory.

I feel like the humor in Gravity Falls never gets brought up enough, because that is what really drew me to the show. Surprised to find out people liked it for the "mysteries" and all the shipping shit. I mean, the progressing story and stuff were all fantastic, but honestly, I found the characters too endearing and likeable that I just wanted more humorous interactions.

I feel like Star Vs is a bit too sporadic, and a bit too RaNDoM to enjoy. Maybe this is just me and my take with it. Perhaps I'll give it another go.

I can't give a proper comparison due to my lack of experience with the show, but I do think that GF was fabricated with a lot of care and sprinkled with many subtleties to look for. That's what I appreciated most about it.

But I do really love Star's theme song. That's wht mainly drew me in to giving it a shot, only to then walk away when I experienced the crazy of the show.

But like I said I'm going to give it another try.

Over the Garden Wall was better. Not having a third season to add a buffer for pacing/passage of time and for fleshing out ideas really took it's toll. Especially with how much happened in the second half of s2. The finale was too rushed.

No. It's definitely one of the better animatd shows to come out in the last decade and NWHS is the most hyped I've seen /co/ since fucking ATLA... but unfortunately the final half of Season 2 was incredibly underwhelming and didn't deliver on a lot of the stuff it'd set up and the series suffered for it.

Is it one of the top five shows of this decade? Yes, absolutely. Is it one of the best shows of the last 25 years? Not even fucking close.

Think about what you're competing with over 25 years, you're talking about going all the way back to the start of the 90s. You're not just competing with recent stuff like Steven Universe, Star Vs, OTGW, Tron Legacy, etc... you're talking about putting it side by side with the likes of ATLA, all the Timm/Dini DC shows, and golden age Simpsons.
