Ultimate Prowler was Miles' uncle, the one that stole the Oscorp spider that bit him, and then Miles accidentally killed him with Venom Blast, I guess that was meant to be his "great powers, great responsibilities" moment and a good point to have him restrain the use of venom blast but nothing much came of it before the Ultimate Universe was retconned out of existence, Miles was clumsily stitched into 616 and now I don't know what the fuck his canon is anymore

Idk how anyone thought giving him a new power that is OP as fuck with zero downsides was a good idea. Like he could literally do that all the time. The only reason I assume he doesn't is because either other writers think it's a cop out move or Bendis just decides he won't use it for no reason. Marvel needs to take this power away. Miles Cloaking ability is good enough.

I feel like they've already done every mentor story they could with Peter. Everytime the put them together, Peter comes up with some dumb reason to be disappointed with Miles and say that letting him be Spider-Man was a mistake. Move miles away from Peter for a few years and let the character grow.

Did every writer forget that Miles is gifted? The Ms. Marvel writer didn't forget when she had Khan and Morales go at it for the school science fair. But Miles have never used that brain of his. Parker sucked ad school, but that's because he was busy saving people. Parker used his Brain in fights to win. So why is Miles so dumb then? He hasn't really thought of smart ways to use his powers on his own. It's really upsetting.

Idk how I feel about this one. Miles mom dying was a big deal and made the character have to grow. I liked the strain between him and his Dad that got mended. It was an interesting take on the Spider-Man and his guardian trope. But they've fucked it up by bring his mom back. That was a huge mistake. Killing her again would be dumb so...idk what they should do.

Bendis can't write an ending without a weak and contrived Deus Ex Machina. He built an instant ending button into Miles to use as a rip cord for when he writes himself into a corner.

Man, I'm 100% sure they threw that out the window because it made no since after a while. He didn't act 12 and should have been 15.

Miles' relationships with his supporting cast are fucking awful and boring as shit because they are all great people that support each other yet are entirely capable on their own.

What makes Peter Parker an interesting character is that he has to navigate a web of lies while attempting to maintain his relationships with people who have their own flaws (May is frustratingly frail and dependent, MJ is flighty and has no time for Pete's bullshit, Harry is a dick). They should have had Miles' mom come back but someone in his family should have had something happen to them that at least sets up some kind of dynamic that Miles can feel anything other than generic support for. Cripple/infirm someone, make someone an asshole, whatever.

Love them or hate them, Miles and Riri aren't going anywhere so long as Bendis is at Marvel.

The best possible outcome is for them to develop into interesting characters who carve out their own unique identities, don't have all their victories handed to them by a boring instant-win power, and don't constantly have other superheroes telling them how special and important they are. But all of that would require getting them away from Bendis.
