So, why's everyone complaining about Lotor? He was good. I kept waiting for the episode where he turned shit and it never came.

He seemed like a good middle ground between an honoraburu Galra warrior type and a pragmatic strategist, leveraging every advantage against his enemies but still commending them when they pulled through, even almost seeming to enjoy it. I liked the fact that he had a kind 'Roman prosperity' feel about his speeches and goals, and that his plans weren't overly-convoluted or ridiculous, but actually just mostly a sound application of tactics and a bit of analytical thinking. Definitely no Xanatos Gambits here.

Seriously, the only problem with him is that he didn't have enough interaction with the paladins, and the season was too short to give us the time we needed with him.

Voltron would be a better show if it was rated PG-13. I feel like some profanity, though not of a lot it, just in characters arguing or in battle, would more be appropriate. Also, the dialogue would probably more complex and would not have to avoid certain words because it's not aimed at children. Most of all, having some more violent scenes and more characters would fit more with the setting.

I know someone's going to call me "edgy" or accuse of trying to bastardize Voltron by making it more mature, but I just think Voltron suits a rating more in line with audiences that are least 13 or older.

Just marathoned through this and literally what is the point of Lance?
>Not a leader like Shiro and Keith
>Not as good a pilot of fighter as Keith
>Not as smart as Pidge or Hunk
>Barely competent as the "sharpshooter"
And it looks like Keith is going to steal the Allurabowl away from him on top of that.
The show itself keep addressing that he had no role to fill but then it doesn't really do anything to change that.

I still would've expected them to pull the stops out of joy for him being back since it's not like there was a scene like this for the paladins other than Keith in the beginning. Lance is supposed to be the "everyman". You know, the loser the audience can latch onto because he's not really great at anything, and his insecurities reflect that of the typical viewer that knows that if they were part of Voltron, they would feel worthless, too.
