While not as manic, it reminded me a lot of Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs with a tiny smidge of Inside Out and Shrek as a jukebox musical. If that makes any sense.
It's a sweet, cozy feel-good movie, and the animation was beautiful with a cloth like aesthetic to it.

I can't say much about the story, because I don't remember most of it, but I found myself genuinely enjoying the movie throughout most of it, and liking a lot of the songs. Visuals and ESPECIALLY the backgrounds were really comfy and I think the BGs were my favorite part of the movie, with the felt texture of everything.

I think the biggest issue a lot of these shitty western cash-grab films is they have bad writing, bad soundtracks, and bad characters, but they have really great design, aesthetic, and really interesting worlds.

So you've got a lot of fantastic, colourful, well-designed, and thoughtful backdrops that simply cannot be fucking saved by the uninspired, safe, boring, writing and shitty characters.

I'd consider Trolls a great example of this, but in the sense that it's only 'bearable' because it isn't bad, it's just forgettable and not particularly offensive in it's quality.
It's visually DELIGHTFUL, but that's about it.
